Let’s see. I was just sitting around smokin a doobie and eating watermelon when this just came to me. (does anyone say “doobie” anymore? i have no idea.)

OK, no I don’t smoke doobies. But I have a story about doobies.

Doobie. The end. Just kidding.

There was a time before my husband and I were married when we didn’t know each other. (haha) You see, we used to work together. It wasn’t until deeper in our relationship that the topic came to “first impressions” and we realized that we both had thought the same thing about each other. I thought he was a heavy pot smoker and he thought the same of me.

Maybe because we both have unbridled goofy and relaxed natures. Or perhaps some jerk was whispering lies about us at work.

Well. Neither one of us really had touched the stuff. Honestly.

BUT we did later. In Amsterdam. You know what they say… When in Amsterdam… try out a whore and some doobies. (This is NOT why we went to Amsterdam, by the way. We went for the canals and the herring and Anne Frank’s house. See, we’re weird.)

The experience was pretty lame, I have to tell you. We had even bought some beer brewed with pot to heighten our experience, but really felt nothing. Could it be that we both are unaffected by Mary Jane? Everyone else in that “coffee shop” was having a good time. Maybe we just got some bad stuff? I don’t know.

Frankly I don’t really need to try it again. I have better things to do with my time. Like make freaky swirly paisley art for you for when you get high and need something to stare at. And drink fancy cocktails, my drug of choice.
