In this tutorial, I show you how to do a block repeat in Photoshop, but with artwork that’s got a painterly textured background.

What you’ll learn:

• My frickin awesome two-step process for covering over nasty a$$ seams
• How to easily preview your repeat in repeat for repeat’s sake
• My cat likes to make the doors creak

• Start with a scan of your image at 300DPI
• Copy + Paste elements from your original un-offsetted image
• Use stamp tool with different types of brushes to mimic painterly qualities
• Don’t disturb the edges of your artboard, fercrapsakes
• Test-out the repeat with pattern fill

I’m in a bad way right now. My ankles are puffed and my muscles are popping. I’ve never had such a hard time walking. This has been going on for days now.

I feel old and defeated.

It all started when I wanted to try out running. No one ever tells you you’re not supposed to just wake up and decide you’re going to run that day. That it’s a prime way to screw up your Achilles tendon. And get yourself some ankle surgery.

I keep thinking to the future. “Will I have to wear a cast? Will I be able to dance at my sister’s bachelorette party? How uncomfortable am I going to be?”

I have to have faith that everything will work out. It’s all figureoutable.

Besides, I can always just dance in a wheelchair… right?

HAPPY ATTACK OF THE MOMS DAY!

I made a “video card” for all the moms out there. Mostly, I was thinking of what message I’d like to send my own mom. If your mom likes random weirdness, maybe she’d like this too. (See below for my magical pre-made emails you can copy and paste!)
