I actually finished this baby awhile ago, but didn’t know what to think about it.

At first, I wasn’t really liking the colors together, but it has since grown on me. The green background, at certain angles, looks like frothy green tea ice cream. It’s thickly painted and was kinda tough to do ~ painting around the feathers.

Pinks popping out from the sides of the feathers add an electricity. That blue is like WHOA. I’m not even sure that its a color that’s on any kind of bird.

There’s a hidden painting under there too. Actually there may be quite a few hidden paintings. I do that a lot. Whoever buys this one will get, like, yay, bonus paintings! Kinda.

Anyway it’s seriously spring out this way and the birds are a-singing. The other day I saw an osprey flying overhead, a hawk and an owl all within 15 minutes! The swishy birds that fly along the river (swallows?) are twittering and the mockingbirds are mimicking the “beepy Jeepy” parked outside our window. This place we live is magical. Call me a bird nerd. I’m OK with it.
